Detailed accounting features
Multi-level account structure (tree-format, unlimited levels)
ACCENTiS Enterprise displays your entire chart of accounts in a convenient tree format categorised by their ledger category and showing current and prior year balances. There is no built-in limit to the levels of account nesting you can have but you can still have a flat list with no nesting if required. Screenshot…
Budget figures for every account
Every account can be assigned a budget amount, and reports can then be generated that analyse balances and budgets for any period and any range of accounts you like. Group accounts use the sum of the budget figures of the sub-accounts, so budget figures automatically flow through your chart of accounts.
Unlimited number of Profit Centres
Every account can be associated with one of an unlimited number of profit centres. This allows you to produce financial analyses targeted towards specific operations within your enterprise or easily distribute and analyse information between different branches of your business.
Date-stamped memos for each account
Each account can store an unlimited number of date and time-stamped memos, allowing you to record details of changes that have been made to an account and who made them. This is particularly important as your business grows and you have multiple users making changes in your General Ledger.
Disallow use option for accounts
Each account has an option that specified whether or not you want to allow transactions to be posted to that account. This allows the accounts administrator the flexibility to optionally suspend activity on accounts and also specify the reason the account is suspended so the users can know why.
Duplicate accounts with a single click
When entering new accounts, it’s as easy as locating a similar account and pressing the Duplicate button. This creates a new account, automatically fills its details from the source account and awaits final changes before updating allowing creation of new accounts with minimal effort. Screenshot…
Bank account information per account
Nominated accounts can be specified as bank accounts which allow you to store all of the relevant bank account details for the accounts. This is particularly useful where bank account information is required for direct payments.
Monthly and quarterly balances at a glance
Monthly and quarterly account balances are displayed on a separate tab on the account form so that for any account, you can instantly see the current and historical monthly and quarterly account balances for the current financial year. It also show you historical monthly balances for the prior year. Screenshot…
Automatic transfer of prior year closing balances
Even after you have rolled over to a new financial year, you are able to make final adjustments (for tax, etc.) months afterwards and, when complete, automatically import the new prior year balances into the current balance sheet. There is no need for manual intervention to input last year’s adjusted End of Year figures, effectively giving you an unlimited amount of time to complete your end of financial year calculations.
Manual Journal entries for multiple accounts at once
A manual general journal entry can be created at any time by any user. You can create as many of these journal entries as you like with each journal entry record either debiting a single account and crediting multiple accounts, or vice versa. Every journal entry record can be linked to a Job code for job costing and analysis. Screenshot…
Effortless account reconciliation between multiple databases
ACCENTiS Enterprise provides a powerful account reconciliation function that allows you to reconcile all transactions to any account from multiple databases. That means you can perform a consolidated reconciliation across multiple databases that use the same bank account for payments. The account reconciliation function is fully-featured including quick-select or manual date ranges, options to display reconciled and reconciled transactions, fast entry of multiple reconciliation dates and context-sensitive transaction lines allowing you to instantly jump to the relevant document. Auto-lock date after reconciliation
Once you have reconciled your bank account, ACCENTiS will ask if you would like to lock the account period so that no further transactions can occur to the reconciled account. Of course, you may always lock the account manually afterwards if you choose not to do it here.
Reconcile accounts as far back as required
ACCENTiS allows you to reconcile transactions that occurred as far back as you like. As long as the transaction exists, it can be used in your reconciliation calculations.
Consolidated Financial reports
ACCENTiS Enterprise allows you to create financial reports using your favourite word processor. After embedding special “tags” representing account codes within your financial report, ACCENTiS will substitute all of these tags with the actual account values from one or more selected databases each time you generate your financial report. There are a wide range of tags available including current balance, opening balance, prior year balances, company name and financial reporting dates. You can select one or more databases across which to produce a financial report and all account balances will be consolidated across the selected databases. End of Year and End of Month financial reports have never been so easy and you don’t have to know how to use a reporting package to create them. Standard reports are available for Balance Sheet, Profit Loss with budgets and prior year analysis, but it is even easier to use last year’s reports produced by your accountants as a template.
Recurring/standing journals
By simple flagging journals that you want to recur each month or period, a single step in ACCENTiS will allow you to select which recurring entries you want to process at any given time. You can specify whether or not you want the recurring journal to recur daily, monthly, yearly or on a specific date. You can also specify a cut-off date for the recurring entry. Screenshot…
Unlimited number of bank accounts in any currency
There is no limit to the number of bank accounts you can have, and they can be in any currency you like. Any of your bank accounts can be specified when performing electronic payments or cheque runs.
Support for changes to prior year periods
Even after you have rolled over to the next financial year, you may still post transactions to prior year periods. The current year’s General Ledger is not affected but such records can be entered for historical purposes.
User definable financial year start
ACCENTiS Enterprise allows you to specify when your financial year begins which is especially convenient for the farming sector who often use a calendar financial year
